Bianca is a keen and gifted athlete with a passion for running and has represented in the Australian athletics team in Canada in 2015.
She returned home from her Canada tour with six gold, four silver and two bronze medallions.
“Most importantly though is Bianca's promotion, support and encouragement for others within sport in general,” Ms Gilbert said.
Bianca’s success in a range of sports, her passion for running and role-modelling to others caught the attention of the organisers of this event, and she was invited to join 100 NSW students for the day.
Bianca met and heard from Australian Olympians who gave advice and encouragement to continue her success in sport.
She was given boxing lessons from Shelley Watts and then treated to an awards ceremony.
For her, the defining moment was when it was announced that one of the other 100 students selected had already competed in two Olympic Games.
“It was certainly a great day to acknowledge what Bianca has achieved to date and provided inspiration for her future,” Ms Gilbert said.
