The major event was won by Ron Nutt (his first win in the open target rifle class) with a total of 746 from a possible 750.
Consistency was a major factor with scores of 250, 248 and 248 on his three targets. Nutt also was also placed third with 701 in the open hunting rifle class behind another club member Peter Nicholl who shot 710 for second place.
Robyn Wilson with a total score of 738 was placed second in women’s target rifle. Don Powell, who ran fourth and Peter Nicholl sixth (on countback as both were on 744, a mere two points behind Nutt) received top 10 medals.
