This followed trials held at Salamander Bay this week, where Navren, 12, played with the Hunter side. He has been selected at five-eighth for NSW, with the team to play in the Australian championships in Melbourne in August.
Hunter finished fourth in the State trials, although Navren didn’t play the last game after sustaining a head knock.
He faces a busy schedule in the next few months, as he represents Hunter in the State basketball championships in July before heading to Melbourne. He’ll then line up for Hunter in the State rugby union and touch football championships.
