A total of $23.0 million has been committed to build a new hospital in Macksville while $10.6 million will go towards the Port Macquarie Hospital mental health expansion. More details here:

Further upgrades to the Pacific Highway were not overlooked with $5.0 million to go towards planning the long-awaited Coffs Harbour bypass. Over $100 million has been allocated for the difficult stretch between the Oxley Highway and Kundabung.
Further north, the Pacific Highway upgrade from Woolgoolga to Ballina has been allocated $1.2 billion.
Communities across the coast will also be pleased to hear the NSW Government will invest $100 million into palliative care services across the state.
Looking further afield the budget announcement has sparked claims of pork-barrelling before the 2019 election with Coalition-held seats in line for twice the number of school infrastructure projects than Labor-held seats.
