Cape Hawke Surf Club will host the final round of the NSW Inflatable Rescue Boat (IRB) premiership at One Mile Beach.
This will attract 20 clubs, including Forster, the sole Lower North Coast Branch representative.
Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre will be the venue for the Swimming North Coast Short Course Championships. This will be for southern clubs in the zone. A total of 804 entries – up on last year, have been received. Competition will be on Saturday and Sunday. Claire Van Kampen and Dane Jeffery from the host club will be among the competitors.
The Country Rugby League under 14 and 15 northern championships will be held at the Harry Elliott Oval at Tuncurry on Saturday and Sunday.
Groups Three, Four, 14, 19 and 21 along with Maitland, Newcastle and the Central Coast will be involved in both divisions, with games underway from 9am both days. Winning sides will progress to the finals at Cessnock on July 1.
The southern championships will be played in Wollongong, also this weekend.
