Members of the MidCoast region gathered to commemorate and pay their respects to the Aboriginal community.
Representatives from the Birpi community and descendants of the Stolen Generation shared their stories and spoke about the importance of Sorry Day.
Service information tents, a family history and genealogy tent and a pop up library where available for attendees to access.
All where encouraged to participate in the community mural.
The event was hosted by MidCoast Council in conjunction with Manning Support Services, Biripi ACMC, Mission Australia and Taree Indigenous Development and Employment (TIDE) was held at the Purfleet-Taree Local Aboriginal Land Council.
