Morning tea at the school
The Lansdowne School will be participating in Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea straight after the school’s public speaking competition on Thursday, June 1 at 10.30am. It will be a gold coin donation entry fee which will be donated to the Cancer Council. Parents, carers and community members are most welcome to attend.

Biggest Morning Teas raise funds for the Cancer Council and support its work fighting cancer.
Everyone knows someone affected by cancer. Today, there are more than 1.1 million Australians who are either living with cancer or who have survived a diagnosis.
Cancer Council is the nation’s leading cancer charity, uniting the community, creating hope, providing support and saving lives.
Little Learners
The Lansdowne School is getting organised to start Lansdowne Little Learners sessions next term. If there are parents who will have children commencing at the Lansdowne School in 2018 please contact the school so that they can be included in the program.
Community asked to be vigilant
As there have been two break-ins at Lansdowne Public School recently.
Principal Wendy is asking that parents and community members to assist the school by being vigilant as you walk or drive past the school out of hours, detouring past the school whenever you are able and checking the grounds as you go past and by reporting any trespassing or vandalism by phoning the security unit on 1300 880 021 or police on 6552 0399.
Social darts
Lansdowne Friday evening social darts results were: Renee Dark and Merve Turner first; Donna Fowler and Danny Dark second; Caitlin Dark and George Wright third.
Women’s highest score winner was Nellie Turner on 134 and junior winner was Emily McLaughlin on 112.
