Support goes on
Club Old Bar continues its tradition of supporting the Old Bar Beach RSL sub-branch. A donation of $3000 was made to the sub-branch to assist with the cost of conducting the Anzac Day events. A further donation of $1600 was made to allow the purchase of new speakers, which were used for the first time on Anzac Day and gave a much better result.

Some of the hot food for the breakfast following the dawn service was provided by Club Old Bar and the barbecue facilities at the club are provided free of charge every year.
The monthly meetings of the sub-branch are held at the club at no cost. This support really makes a difference to a small sub-branch with a relatively small financial turnover. At the last monthly meeting of the sub-branch, members expressed their thanks to Club Old Bar for their support and agreed that a letter of thanks should be sent to the club.
At the beginning of the meeting, Lucinda Blanch from Australian Hearing, spoke to members about the various types of hearing aids and other hearing enhancement devices available.
Members are invited to the 28th birthday celebrations of Barwalla on Monday June 5.
The donation this month is $200 to the Soldiers' Memorial Hall. Next meeting will be 2pm Tuesday June 20.
