Police have charged a man following investigations into an alleged break in and assault of a woman in Diamond Beach 11 days ago.

Police from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command were called to a home on Panorama Drive about 1.30 am on Saturday, May 6, after a man allegedly entered the home.
The man allegedly confronted a 77 year old woman before assaulting her and fleeing the scene.
The woman was taken to Manning Hospital for treatment.
A crime scene was established at the woman’s home and officers from Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command commenced an investigation.
About 2.30 pm on Monday, May 15, a 25 year old man was stopped on the Pacific Highway at Nabiac by officers.
He was taken to Forster Police Station where he was interviewed and charged with a range of offences including aggravated break and enter and commit serious indictable offence (people there) and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He was refused bail and will appear in Taree Local Court today (May 16).
