Sharks McDonalds took on Wingham in a very tight junior hockey encounter. The Sharks players used good teamwork and passed the ball well between themselves to progress the ball up field. Lucy Chapman made numerous penetrating runs which were repelled by the Wingham defence. The teams went to half time locked at 0-0. Sharks improved their field position and structure in the second half but goals to Wingham from Annabelle Munro and Jayden McCallum saw a solid win for the Wingham team.
Sharks The Junction under 7s
The young Sharks Junction team came up against Cougars.
Sharks defence was held together by Sonny Harrison and Bianca Bowman proving difficult to get past. Cougars eventually scored 2 goals late in the half.
Charlotte McDonald found form in the second half and scored a great field goal while Penny Martino was consistent throughout the contest
Sharks Pet Barn under 9s
The 11.20 game was between Sharks Pet Barn and Tigers.
Lachie Bowman was strong in attack for Sharks and was well supported by Hallie Brown. The defence stood solid led by Kenan Drury and Darcy Graham, who was outstanding in his debut season.The Tigers goal scoring was led by Sari ably assisted by Lily Atkins.

Sharks McDonalds Took on the strong Tigers outfit. In a free flowing game were both teams had chances Tigers went to the half time break with a 1-0 lead. Both teams improved in the second with wide passing combing well for players in their first season. Tigers scored a second goal to take the win 2-0. Best players for Sharks were Maddi and Harmanjit Dhillon .

Sharks McDonalds looked to have the majority of possession early in their clash with Tigers. Unfortunately the forwards failed to convert goal scoring opportunities. Tigers increased circle pressure resulting in a nicely constructed goal to Karla Baker. Tigers took the 1-0 lead to half time. Sharks came out firing after assistant coach Barton’s half time speech converting a penalty corner opportunity to Emma O'Byrne. Tigers hit straight back with Karla Baker scoring her second to make it 2-1. The last minutes saw both teams failing to convert with the final score 2-1. Lara Watson stood out for Sharks along with Ava Sharpe who competed all day.
