It was a very busy morning commencing at 9.45am and finishing at 2pm.
Both organisations worked well together as a team with 70 animals being microchipped and will now be able to be positively identified should they go missing.
“It is a very distressing time if your pet wanders off and you cant find them,” said Sandy Brooks, president of the Taree and District Branch of the RSPCA.
“With a microchip if the animal is found it can be taken to a local veterinary hospital and very easily identified, ensuring that they are returned to their rightful owner safe and sound.”
The organisations sincerely thanked Craig Allport and his daughter Bree, the owners of Taree Pet Barn, for allowing us to avail of the use of their property for the event.
