The 12 girls and boys and 16 girls head up proceedings as they travel to Port Macquarie this weekend to continue their respective age group competitions.
Taree 12 girls play Gosford City Rebels, Quirindi and Lismore Storm in an effort to keep their unblemished record so far in the competition which has seen them sweep through the first two rounds with a 6-0 winning record.
Their counterparts in the boys also have three games with Newcastle Hunters Green, Tamworth Thunderbolts and Bellinger Valley Braves in their sights. Newcastle Hunters Green and Bellinger Valley Braves will be hard to toss as they sit ahead of the Taree Tornadoes boys on the competition ladder and the game against Tamworth Thunderbolts is the one most likely to produce a winning result.
The 16 girls have a tough first up assignment at 9.30am Saturday against the undefeated Bellinger Valley Braves and this game will provide an indication on their title hopes later in the year. They then play Port Macquarie Dolphins in a game expected to produce a win and wrap up their weekend with a clash against Quirindi who sit one spot behind the Taree Tornadoes girls on the competition ladder.
The next Taree Tornadoes teams to hit the court will be the 14 girls and boys, 16 boys and 18 girls and boys who play in Coffs Harbour over the weekend of May 20/21.
