Jake Ferris (Taree High School), Jarrad Gibson (Chatham High School ) and John Roberts (Wingham High School ) have gained selection in the boys CHS team with Bree Pensini (Taree High) named in the girls CHS team.
The CHS teams will now play in the NSW All Schools under 16s selection tournament in Sydney in July against the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges and NSW Combined Independent Schools representative teams.
The NSW All Schools team chosen at the Sydney tournament will participate in the Pacific School Games in Adelaide in December.
The selection of the four Manning students in State CHS teams topped off a very successful weekend for the Hunter Region teams at Mudgee with the boys team coached by Chatham High’s Scott Jacklin winning the championship against the Sydney North Region for the third year in a row with Jake Ferris, Jarrad Gibson, John Roberts, Drew Pensini (Taree High) and Cody Chambers (Wingham High) in the winning side. The Hunter girls team were runners up to the Sydney North Region with Bree Pensini named Hunter’s most valuable player over the tournament.
