Barnard had the title wrapped up going into the final round shot from the 800 metre range.
Another promising young shooter, Declan Heaney, was second in the F class B-grade championship. He had a great battle with Christina Adams in the final round before Adams prevailed by five points. Heaney has been a member for just over 12 months and was contesting the championship for the first time.
The new championship season will start on Saturday May 13.
