The high speed, long range pursuit vessel was launched onto the Manning River in Taree on Friday, April 28.
The vessel will remain in the area for next two weeks for sea and commissioning trials before heading to the Water Police headquarters in Balmain.
Steber International general manager Alan Steber used the launch as an opportune time to raise the dangers of the Harrington bar and encouraged MPs to take the matter of bar safety up with the appropriate authorities.
Mr Steber believes a second wall would dramatically improve safety for all users.
Mr Steber was recently involved in a near fatal accident on Harrington bar where a rogue wave smashed windows of a commercial vessel.
This is the 11th vessel Steber International has manufactured on behalf of NSW Water Police.
Regional roads, maritime and transport parliamentary secretary Kevin Anderson said the State government was proud to continue a long and proud tradition with the company.
