“We had six regular first graders out and had a very young side on the park,’’ an elated coach Rod Bartley said.
“I was very happy with the energy and the style of football we played, it was very encouraging.’’
Macleay Valley beat Tuncurry-Forster 3-1 in the other game. Taree and Macleay will now travel to Coffs Harbour to play the Northern Zone winners at a date to be announced.
