Research conducted recently by Murdoch University, with the backing of the Community Broadcasting Foundation, showed that getting involved in your local community radio station is a very effective way of battling loneliness.
The Joy of Social Connection stated that reducing the stigma of being lonely, connecting people across communities and increasing volunteering are the ways radio stations such as 2BOB can help reduce loneliness.
