The store was approached last Monday to see if assistance could be provided with creating donations for children in out of home care.
By the following day, over 60 Easter gift bags were filled with chocolate eggs and ready to be distributed among children in Taree.
Challenge Community Services administration assistant Jessica Seckhold said the donation will provide joy to many children in Taree this Easter.
“We thought that this was a lovely gesture from Bunnings Taree and to do this with such little notice was amazing.
“It is very much appreciated that they could get the eggs together and I’m sure the kids will be very pleased,” Ms Seckhold said.
The children began to receive the gifts from last Wednesday.
Challenge Community Services provide residential support, respite services and foster care assistance to children across NSW.
