The club will have a get-together at the Jack Neal Oval on June 3. This is when the 2017 version of the Bulls tackle arch rivals Old Bar.
Taree City came into the competition in 1998. The previous year Taree didn’t support a league club following the collapse of the Taree Rhinos. Scott Sullivan was theBulls’ first captain-coach.
Terry McCartney coached the Bulls to the club’s initial first grade premiership in 2000.
McCartney was at the helm again in 2007 when the club won three premierships in all three grades – a first for Group Three. Brad Willett and Peter Woods were co-coaches in reserve grade with Scott Jacklin in charge of the under 18s. This was before the advent of women’s league tag. The June 3 function is open to any player, committee member or supporter who has been involved with the club since 1998.
