The Manning Ratz/Forster-Tuncurry and Myall Coast/Old Bar games were both called off when fields were closed due to wet weather.
Old Bar had hoped to play Myall Coast on Saturday April 29 when no games are scheduled because of the NSW Country Championships. However, Mid North Coast Zone chief executive Bob Wilson said this is not possible.
“Under a NSW Rugby Union rules no matches can be played in any (country) region when the country championships are on,’’ Mr Wilson explained.
Only one LNC players, Forster’s Naibuka Naqito will be involved in the Country titles.
Mr Wilson was critical of the decision by MidCoast Council to close the field at Tuncurry, believing it was fit to play for the Dolphins/Ratz fixture.
“It’s a sand based field,’’ he said.
“The game should have gone ahead.’’
