Vice president of the Old Bar Festival Committee and organisers of the event Erin Byrne said people travelled from as far as Western Australia for the festival.
“It was wonderful to see the town given a huge economic boost,” Erin said.
Popular act Tash Sultana headlined the festival and was said to be the reason behind the huge boost in numbers.
“Tash was really impressed with the stage set up, which is a credit to local company Aurora FX,” Erin said.
The last minute venue change from the Old Bar Football fields to the airstrip, was made due to the recent wet weather.
Conditions at the festival were muddy, but this was quickly embraced by punters who opted for gumboots or barefeet.
Erin thanked volunteers and said the event couldn’t run without them.
“We are always looking for more volunteers.”
