Chair of Sunrise on the Manning Rotary, Richelle Murray, said anyone interested is invited to hear Peter talk at the meeting room at McDonalds – Taree North at 7am next Tuesday March 21.
The fortnightly meeting will be finished by 8.15am.
Peter is a business solutions executive with the NSW Business Chamber, providing advice and services to businesses throughout the Hastings and MidCoast Council areas.
He will advise on the secret of the success of their dynamic young Rotary club.
“We have a dynamic Rotary club of 52 members, mainly young business people,” Peter said.
“We all have a common interest in making Port Macquarie a great place to live and the morning meeting means we can catch up, make plans and get off to work by 8.15am.
“It is a really fun club and everyone is involved in some project. Plus there is a real networking opportunity.”
Peter said he can see no reason why a similar club wouldn’t work in Taree.
“The formula works in Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour, Tamworth and Armidale. Sunrise on the Manning Rotary looks like a great starting point,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity of addressing everyone interested next Tuesday morning.”
Chair of Sunrise on the Manning Rotary, Richelle Murray, said they are particularly extending a welcome to young business people to attend Peter’s talk.
Sunrise on Manning, a satellite of Rotary Club of Taree on Manning, has created new projects in Taree.
“Already our small group has been responsible for the construction of a fence around the playground in front of the Bean Bar, we have funding to put a shade over the play equipment there and we are working with Taree Lions Club to seek approval and funding to build a stage over the river in Queen Elizabeth Park,” Richelle said.
“With some more members this can be a really dynamic club, particularly suitable for young business people with family responsibilities who need to get to work.”
