Red Balloon Day has been created to honour and thank our brave and courageous fire fighters Australia wide.
Maddison Gaul, the Lansdowne Public School parliament community minister, is taking on her first leadership role to support this worthy cause as the Rural Fire Service plays such an important role in our community.
To raise money to support and thank our fireys the school is having its own Red Balloon Day next Tuesday.
Students may come to school out of uniform for a gold coin donation wearing colours that represent fire, such as red, orange, yellow, black.
They will have some red themed food such as watermelon, red velvet cupcakes and cocktail frankfurts for sale at lunch for 50 cents each.
There will also be red balloons that students can decorate with a thank you message for 50 cents.
All money raised will be donated to the Rural Fire Service.
Please remember to show your gratitude to these marvelous firefighters on National Red Balloon Day.
Let’s fly lots of red balloons to show our appreciation of our own local Lansdowne and Coopernook Rural Fire Brigades.
