The Old Bar Men’s Shed, with venue partner, Club Old Bar, is hosting their second annual Health Expo on Friday, March 10 at Club Old Bar. It will be open from 10am to 12.30pm.
There will be guest speakers and over 30 exhibitors, many with giveaways, displaying their products and services which are available to the community.
NSW Seniors Festival is from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 12 and this is likely to be the only event in Old Bar.
The aims of the expo are to:
- provide a hub for seniors to access information about health, finances, legal issues, education and social activities;
- provide residents an opportunity to join a seniors group and be linked to the community; and
- celebrate NSW Seniors Week.
Support our Men’s Shed and gain some information for yourself. For enquiries, call Kylie on 6551 1200 or John on 6557 4165. Admission is free.
Need a JP in Old Bar?
If you are in need of a Justice of the Peace, there are a couple of options for you.
If you have access to the internet, log on to http://jp.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/public/searchByNamePublic.do and enter the postcode 2430. This will give you the names and contact details of a number of JPs with their home suburb.
If you don’t have access to the internet, contact the Old Bar CTC on 6553 6677 where arrangements can be made for you to meet with either of two volunteers or a nearby JP. They also have a JP list for you to peruse. Remember, the services of a JP are provided free of charge.
