The free, family friendly event will be held at Fotheringham Park on Friday, February 17 and will feature the blockbuster movie, Kung Fu Panda, rated PG.
Entertainment will get underway from 5.30pm with great live music from Jake Davey, kids activities including a circus workshop and small sided football, and once the sun goes down the screen will light up for the feature movie.
Entry is free for everyone and people are encouraged to bring along their picnic rugs and picnics, or purchase food and non-alcoholic drinks at the event as they soak up the magical atmosphere of watching a popular family film in the great outdoors.
Newcastle Permanent Chief Executive Officer Terry Millett said, “We understand how much regional communities across NSW look forward to our Cinema Under the Stars events, and as a customer-owned organisation it is just one of the many ways we’re giving back to communities that support us. “
“We’re hoping to get around 1000 people to our first event in Taree this February,” Mr Millett said.
