Frequent festival goers Chris and Rita Galloway moved to the area around 18 months ago and saw the huge potential the hall had as a live music venue.
“The hall has great natural acoustics and a warm feeling to it,” Chris said.
Last year the hall hosted UK duo Winter Wilson – who not only played a show but were hosted by residents Alastair and Helen Breingan.
“They really loved experiencing Australian country life,” Helen said.
“They were amazed by the wildlife and how close the wallabies came to the house.”
Chris said, the hall is getting such good traction they’ve had to turn down several international bands due to scheduling.
They are also looking out for local bands to support acts.
The next music event the “Festival of Food and Cake” is this Sunday, February 19.
The lineup includes Acchord, Salt, Wingsong and Kantabile. Tickets are $25 including a country style afternoon tea.
This event is being held to raise funds to complete the installation of a brand-new kitchen for the hall.
On April 5, Les Poules a Colin, a Canadian five piece will play the hall before appearing at the National Folk Festival in Canberra.
