Mr Breward was last seen by friends on New Year’s Eve and was reported missing to Tasmania Police on January 17.
Investigations into his disappearance resulted in the arrest of 25-year-old Ricky John Izard, of South Launceston, and 41-year-old Mark Rodney Jones, of West Launceston.
Mr Breward’s body was found about 7pm on Friday at Lake Eugenana, about 10 kilometres south-west of Devonport.
Divers were used to find and recover the body.
Forensic examiners last week searched a home in Parklands Parade at Newnham – where they now believe Mr Breward was allegedly killed.
Police will allege Mr Breward was assaulted and suffocated with a plastic bag following what police described as a dispute over a stolen car.
They will also allege the two men moved Mr Breward to another location before disposing of evidence at a third location.
Detective Inspector John King said that the investigation entailed several alleged crime scenes, as well as the analysis of several vehicles and statements from a number of people.
“We are speaking to other witnesses and there is a possibility there will be other charges laid,” he said.
Investigations are ongoing and anybody with information should contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1800 333 000.
The two men appeared before Justice of the Peace David Plumridge in an out-of-hours court sitting on Friday night. They were remanded to reappear on Monday at 2.15pm.
