Pam Phillips is just one of many performers who will take to the stage for the Spotlight on Taree Arts Council showcase, which takes place at St Mary’s Hall in Taree this month.

She has been an active member since joining in 1972 to play Bloody Mary in "South Pacific", which is still one of her favourite roles.
For this concert Pam will sing Bali Hai from "South Pacific" and Feed the Birds from "Mary Poppins", which was the most recent musical she performed in, in 2015.
She has served as a committee member for 43 years, fulfilling most positions, including president twice and treasurer twice. She was made a life member in 1996.
She has been involved with at least 50 productions throughout the years including plays, music halls melodramas, pantomimes and, of course, musicals.
She has been a leading lady (Dolly Levi in"Hello Dolly" being one of the best) to many singing/dancing support roles over the years.
She has also worked as backstage crew and stage manager, has done props, been a set dresser and also cast dresser.
In 1997 she directed "Fiddler on the Roof"', in 1999 co-directed "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and in 2007 directed "Grease the Musical".
Pam has been singing as long as she can remember, and among her many highlights was singing for Dame Joan Sutherland in 2002. In 2010 she was the winner of the Regional Performing Arts Award.
She was a successful competitor for many years in Taree and District Eisteddfod in all vocal genres and won the Distrist Vocal Championship five times.
She now sings with Taree U3A Choir Silver Tones and entertains at the retirement homes.
Taree Arts Council’s Spotlight on Taree Arts Council is on Tuesday February 21 at 11am and Saturday February 25 at 7.30pm at St Mary's Hall in Taree.
The variety concert features performances by talented members from Taree Arts Council over the years.
Light refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $20 or $15 concession and are available through Bass'n'Blues in Albert Street, Taree.
