Recent heatwave conditions abated for the event which allowed volunteers to work hard in cooler conditions.
Garden beds were stripped of plants, seeds harvested, compost bays turned, weeds removed, worm wee distributed and plants were watered. Volunteers also harvested produce ready to eat.
Around eight volunteers visited the garden from 9am to give of their time to work in the numerous themed areas of the garden.
The next working bee is to be held on Sunday, February 26. However, volunteers are urged to visit the garden at any time to weed and importantly, water the numerous garden beds.
The garden is in Wynter Street, Taree and the entrance is opposite the driveway to the Aldi carpark.
