“I put my swimmers back in the ute!”
Tony was at the popular swimming spot with his wife, Ellen and some mates.
“It was about three metres, one of the guys thought it was a bronze whaler and another thought it was a bull shark and so I reckon it was something in between!
“There was a guy swimming with his dog and we reckon it was probably after his dog.”
Tony and Ellen live in Pitt Town and have made the annual trip to Old Bar for about seven years.
“We’ve been coming up here for holidays and have never seen a shark in the inlet, we’ve seen stingrays and other stuff but not a shark.”
Today Tony said he had no plans to go for a swim in the inlet, not because of the shark, “it’s too damn cold!”
