We all love our own birthdays. We enjoy being made feel special – special for who we are and for what we do.
Christmas has become a time of presents, feasting and rush. Sometimes the real joy of spending relaxed and happy time with our family and friends – individually and together – gets squeezed out.
We also can easily forget that it is a day set aside to celebrate Christ's birthday.
Jesus means many different things to each person. One of Jesus's main hopes was that we might each live our lives to their full potential, not held back by bad relationships or worry.
This may mean that we need to try to put things right with each of our family and friends.
Let us each make sure that we make Jesus feel special.
I do hope that you and your family and friends have a really happy and joyous Christmas – and that the meaning of Christmas continues in the year ahead.
Best wishes.
