The Manning River foreshore will again play host to one of the region’s most exciting annual events, with thousands expected to join in the celebration on New Year’s Eve.
Sponsors for this year, Club Taree, along with Taree Auto Group, 2RE and MaxFM, are on board again to deliver what’s certain to be a sensational start to 2017.
“We’re pleased to again be working in partnership with these terrific local businesses, whose involvement last year played such an important part in bringing our community together to ring in the New Year,” MidCoast Council’s team leader for tourism, events and communications, said.
“Each of our sponsors is active in the community throughout the year, so it’s a natural alignment having them part of Taree’s New Year’s Eve celebration.”
The ‘Fireworks on the Foreshore’ kicks off at 5pm, with live entertainment hosted by local favourite Jake Davey commencing at 6pm.
Alongside Jake, the crowd will be entertained by performances from Sweet Nothin, Lucy Bird, Georgia Hudson and Amber Jenkins.
A delicious range of food and beverages will be available for purchase in the carnival atmosphere, which again includes amusement rides for the kids. The celebration will take place from 5pm on Saturday December 31in Queen Elizabeth Park, between Pulteney Street and Manning Street, Taree, culminating with a dazzling fireworks display at 9pm.
