The markets kick off the festival at 8am while a psychic fair will be held in the nearby memorial hall.
January 1 also marks the start of the Lower Manning River Tagged Fish Roundup, which offers a total of $10,000 in prizes for tagged fish caught during January.
Back at Oxley Reserve at 5pm, there will be live music, food stalls, sideshows and carnival rides for the whole family ahead of the John Gollan Fireworks at 9pm.
Also on the festival program is an art show at the Harrington Function Centre on January 6, 7 and 8. The show is open 10am to 4pm on Friday and Saturday, January 6 and 7, and 10am to 2pm on Sunday, January 8.
On the sporting front, there is a four person nine hole ambrose at the Harrington Waters Golf Club on January 8 and the Crowdy Head Triathlon on January 29.
