Jeremy Bradley and Cathy Eggert market Parra Trooper as a soil ameliorant. “Nigrospora oryzae is a very beneficial native soil organism,” Jeremy says. “It helps with soil conditioning and improves nutrient cycling, moisture retention, carbon sequestration and helps control erosion”.
As well as improving soil health, NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) researchers have found N.oryzae in the crown rot that affects Giant Parramatta Grass and other closely related Weedy Sporobolus Grasses (WSG).
The couple will hold a field day at Beechwood on Friday December 16 to explain the product and view some impressive results on the ground.
