Anderson is determined the MNC Zone will field a stronger, more vibrant team next year in the annual NSW Country Carnival to be played at Port Macquarie Regional Stadium.
"When I was appointed coach late last season I took the opportunity to watch several games in the Lower MNC area and I was delighted with the standard of some of the rugby," Anderson said.
"We had three players in Ben Manning, Troy Haines and Jesse Logan from the Forster-Tuncurry Dolphins in the Axemen's squad for the Country Championships at Armidale, and I want to see more players from the region next year."
Daniel Hessing, the former MNC representative flanker from last season's grand finalists, the Wallamba Bulls, is expected to attend tonight's training run, to start at 6.30.
