Women’s hand bags filled with toiletries and other essentials have been collected to donate to women in need this Christmas.
The staff at Northcott, a not-for-profit disability service provider, in Taree wanted to contribute to the campaign and together they collected eight bags filled with goodies.
The staff dropped their bags to Old Bar’s This and That Homewares in Old Bar.
Senior family support worker for the transdisciplinary program at Northcott Victoria Cooper said their service supports customers of various ages and circumstances to realise their full potential.
“For this reason, we are keen to contribute to the Share the Dignity Bag Campaign as Northcott values strong community partnerships and building an inclusive society,” Victoria added.
Paula Hagan of Braithwaite Family Dental put the call out for the donated bags and goods.
Well over 30 bags have been collected at the dentist so far, with more expected to come in from collection points in Forster and Old Bar.
Paula started collecting at the end of October and has been amazed by the generosity and amazing donations she has received. Drop donations to Braithwaite Family Dental and Old Bar’s This & That Unique Homewares.
