A Movie World spokeswoman denied the ride was "stuck" but said there was a delay on the Green Lantern ride.
"We had a delay on the Green Lantern ride and they're almost up and operational again," the spokeswoman said.
She said it was "just a delay".
"Just a short time ago, just a normal procedure we do," the spokeswoman said at 1.35pm, also saying she could not comment, and hanging up.
The spokeswoman confirmed everyone was evacuated from the ride safely, but at 2.15pm the Green Lantern was still not operational.
It is understood emergency services were not called to the theme park.
On Friday, Industrial Relations Minister Grace Grace said Movie World's 16 rides had passed safety audits.
Today's is not the first time the Green Lantern ride has had an issue. In March 2015 the same ride made headlines when six people were stranded.
In 2015, it took about three hours from when the ride stopped for the first person to be rescued. The passengers had be transferred to a cherry picker, before being lowered to the ride's maintenance platform.
At the time, Movie World said "an issue with a wheel" was behind the incident.
