Molly, 6, qualified for nationals at zone at Raymond Terrace in August.
“It felt a bit scary, I was pretty surprised,” Molly said.
Molly had to do five routines, including exercises, floor drills and marching.
She placed in the top five girls out of around 50.
Molly is coached by Nola Bath.
She has been doing physical culture since she was two.
Her mother Lauren Knope, grew up doing physical culture in Sydney.
Molly has grown up with physical culture. Her mum joined the Manning club after moving here and took Molly to sessions when she was still a baby.
“I’m amazed by how good her memory is with the routines,” Lauren said.
When asked what she likes about physical culture, Molly said, “making friends at competitions”.
Molly is working on perfecting her splits on both legs for nationals.
