An avid reader, a published author for the past 25 years, and a lover of Australian literature, Annette Marfording provides deep insight into the world of writing in her latest book, Celebrating Australian Writing: Conversations with Australian Authors.
Through her interviews with authors across a breadth of literary fields, ranging from crime writing, commercial fiction, narrative and poetry, Annette uncovers a host of different writing methods, themes, motivations and central tips that offer an important glimpse into becoming a literary success.
“This is a great opportunity to hear first-hand from Annette, an accomplished author in her own right, the success secrets of some of Australia’s best contemporary writers”, explains Taree library events co-ordinator Danielle Old.
“Through carefully crafted interviews with 21 different authors that include David Malouf, Di Morrissey and the late Bryce Courtenay, she has a wealth of information and advice for anyone who enjoys writing and wants to improve their technique,” she adds.
Celebrating Australian Writing: Conversations with Australian Authors is more than just a text book on writing techniques, offering an appreciation of the challenges and sensitivities that help shape the written works of those interviewed.
