A late rush on ticket sales for the Quota International of Taree ‘Fancy Nancy’ Fashion Parade saw more than 70 people gather on October 8 for an afternoon of fun and fashion with a fundraising focus.

Around $1500 will be donated by Quota to local charities and contribute to the club’s annual fundraising total of between $15,000 and $20,000, according to organiser Carolyn Erickson.
“We were very happy. Fundraising is a very important part of Quota as we are a service club and we work to support numerous charities and services.”
The ‘Fancy Nancy’ Fashion Parade in St John’s Hall in Taree featured clothing from Ashlea Road Boutique in Wingham and Margaret’s Underfashions in Taree.
Ten Quota members, collectively known as ‘Fancy Nancy and her entourage of mellow-licious models’ dressed in new Spring and Summer fashion clothing from Ashlea Road Boutique and nightwear from Margaret’s Underfashions. Taking to the catwalk for the event was: Fancy Nancy (Nancy Bowling), Ritzy (Romany Low) and Ditzy (Di Hawkins), Classy Cathy (Cathy Baker), Jazzy Jan (Jan Woods), Jaunty Jackie (Jackie Wiseman), Cheeky Carolyn (Carolyn Erickson), Delectable Di (Di Greaves), Risque Robyn (Robyn Herps) and Lady Lil (Lilian Else).
Carolyn says Quota members will now focus their attention to the task of planning the next major fundraising event, a Dutch Auction at St John’s Hall in Taree on Saturday, December 3.
