The challenge will be played from September 23 to 26 and as well as the eight NBL teams will feature two international teams.
Two teams from the China Basketball Association (CBA), Zhejiang CB Golden Bulls and Tianjin Ronggang, are tipped to bring full strength line ups to the even and are expected to feature a number of high-profile American imports.
Cal Bruton changed the face of basketball in Australia as a player and coach many years ago and as a good friend of Taree Basketball is keen to once again pass on his passion for and knowledge of the game to young players here. He will head back to Taree after the Challenge in Brisbane for a two day basketball camp at Saxby’s Stadium. The Bruton Basketball camp will be next Tuesday and Wedneday from 9am to 3pm both days and this is a golden opportunity to learn from one of the greats of Australian basketball. Places are limited.
