The show will run from Friday, September 30 to Friday, October 7 from 9.30am to 230pm every day, including Sunday and the public holiday on Monday.
“Our artists have thrown away all the technical rules and painted their art with freedom and intuition,” exhibition curator Judith Tetley said.
“Over 100 paintings, with vibrant colours and favourite subjects will be for sale at this family friendly show.
“Our aim is to demonstrate the vitality of original, local, modern wall art compared to mass produced prints which have been made in another country.
“We’ve created a special section for children with the displays at their level for them to contemplate what type of painting they would like in their own room,s and we have a wonderful array of ‘mini inspirational art’ for that little original gift.
“With our show being held over the October long weekend and during the first week of the school holidays, our doors will be well and truly open for visitors and families to come along and soak up the creative vibe that our first Pop-Up Modern Art Show promises to present,” Judith said.
Taree Craft Centre is on the corner of Pulteney and High Streets, Taree.
Entry fee is a gold coin donation with proceeds being donated to the Taree Lungnet Group.
