FOLLOWING the recent State inter-zone sides championship at Forster and Tuncurry the NSW selectors met to finalise the teams for the annual City/Country clash at Cabramatta Bowling Club on November 5 and 6.

Dylan Riley (Forster) has once again caught their eye and been rewarded with selection in the Country team. This is a most prestigious event and a good performance may lead to NSW representative honours.
Zone rookie pairs
THE Zone 11 rookie pairs was played in perfect conditions at Forster BC. Although these players are relatively new to the game, they should be proud of the skills that were displayed. Winners are grinners and the grinners here are Norm Copeland and John Lee (Taree Leagues) who defeated Guy Rowe and Robert Taylor (Bulahdelah) in the final. After getting out to an early lead this was gradually whittled away until scoring a five near the end to seal their win.
The winners progress to the State finals at Raymond Terrace BC in October.
