These fingers work to craft beautiful new worlds and images, for others to enjoy.
This September this vast experience will be on exhibition at Club Taree.
The exhibition is tri-annual and will take place on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10.
President Jan Wood said the exhibition will showcase three years of the group’s work.
“Embroidery is hard work and it does take a lot of time,” said Jan.
“But it’s very relaxing and enjoyable to do.”
On show will be items as large as quilts, as well as smaller handiwork.
The funds raised at the exhibition will go towards two important causes Manning Valley Push for Palliative and Can Assist Manning Valley branch.
A quilt made by Jan and another member Margaret Yeark will be the prize in the exhibition’s raffle.
Titled ‘Girl’s Day Out’, the quilt featured all the different shops ladies might visit on a day out with friends such as the florist, cafe and of course the patchwork shop.
There will also be a trading table and hourly lucky door prizes.
Morning and afternoon tea will be available for purchase at the Club Taree Coffee Shop.
The exhibition fee is $5.
If you are interested in joining the group, they meet the first and third Thursday of every month.
The group enjoys classes with expert tutors, there is also access to an extensive library for all types of stitching projects.
“We also have a group of ladies that are just so beautiful to be around,” added Jan.
Beginners and experienced stitchers are very welcome.
