A large high pressure system is virtually stationary over much of the eastern seaboard bringing consistently warm winter days and moderately cool mornings.
Saturday we should see a beautiful day with a morning of around six degrees before topping out at around 19 degrees.
There will be light winds in the morning with a slight southerly change expected in the afternoon.
Sunday will feature a similarly cool start to the day before a beautiful 21 degrees through the day. The big feature will be very blue, clear skies.
And while it may be hard to believe, Monday’s weather conditions are expected to be even warmer with a maximum of around 23 degrees.
Meteorologist with weatherzone Kim Westcott said Tuesday morning’s temperature will be a warm eight degrees largely due to some extra cloud cover.
While this will burn off in the morning, Tuesday afternoon should see a large front coming through affecting multiple states, she said.
“You should experience some cooling down in temperatures in the afternoon.
“That change will see Wednesday’s temperatures drop right off with a maximum of around 18 degrees. There may also be some showers around either Tuesday or Wednesday.
“And Wednesday or Thursday should see a noticeable change, with westerly winds being prominent.”
These winds are likely to be pretty gusty and dry making conditions somewhat cooler.
The swell should increase on Sunday with three foot waves predicted on Sunday particularly on south facing beaches.
“The surf conditions will then drop off on Monday and Tuesday,” she said.
