Android Pay is the simple and secure way to pay on mobile devices. It’s available at shops across Australia, wherever NFC (near-field communication) payments are accepted.
“We’re proud to be helping our customers tap into exciting new ways to pay. Android Pay gives our customers added value by providing another way to use their Holiday Coast credit and debit cards to pay for purchases with their mobile devices,” Mr Neville Parsons CEO of Holiday Coast Credit Union said.
“We're excited to bring the simplicity and security of mobile payments to Android users in Australia. Using Android Pay is more secure — and much faster — than rummaging through your wallet for a plastic card.
“Aussie shoppers will be able to use Android Pay at almost 800,000 contactless payment terminals across Australia." Pali Bhat, senior director of product management, Google said.
Android Pay works with Android devices running KitKat (4.4) or higher.
