He has travelled to the USA as part of a group study exchange team and he and wife Jane have hosted a number of overseas exchange students.
Adam has served as president of his children's swimming club, has served as a board member at Manning Valley Anglican College and has acted as MC at various netball events.
Adam embodies the vocational ideal of Rotary, providing exemplary service to the community by providing a safe and caring environment as well as crucial early education to children through the seven childcare centres he and Jane own and operate.
He has served as a leader within Manning and Great Lakes Early Intervention where he has demonstrated his passion for the welfare of young children.
He has also been an active supporter of the Aunts and Uncles program proving vital respite for foster parents and needy families.
Despite all his other commitments, Adam took on the role of chair of the organising committee for the 2016 Rotary District Conference.
Through his exceptional leadership and attention to detail the committee delivered what has been described by Rotary International president's representative Patrick Chisanga as "simply unforgettable" and by many others as the "best conference ever".
Adam Sharpe is a very worthy Paul Harris Fellow.
