Upper Lansdowne Public School
STUDENTS competed with enthusiasm and great sportsmanship at the Athletics. Following are the students who deserve special recognition: Brooke Walker (juvenile girls champion), Kit Hardy (runner up juvenile boys champion), Cruize Drury (runner up juvenile boys champion), Koko Hardy (runner up juvenile girls champion), Jessica Walker (runner up junior girls champion), Reggie Maslen (runner up junior boys champion) and Maizy Maslen (runner up 11 years girls champion).
Merit awards
Student of the week is Jackson Stapleton and reader of week is Deegan Allen.
Merit awards went to Kit Hardy for great work habits, Brooke Walker for good sounding in her writing, Cruize Drury for good effort in reading, Ruby Allen for 25 and 50 nights reading and Kit Hardy for 125 nights reading Bronze award went to Tristan Cross and Eddie Maslen.
Cundletown Public School
FOUR public speakers travelled to North Haven to represent Cundletown Public school at the Multicultural Perspective Public Speaking Competition.
Chloe C and Violet S were Stage Two speakers and Joshua S and Xavier C were our Stage Three representatives. All four students did a wonderful job presenting their prepared speeches along with an impromptu speech. A special mention goes out to Violet who was awarded highly commended.
Athletics
A squad of 35 Cundletown Public School students will compete at zone.
The students are: Lawson W, Julian J, Dillon K, Cameron T, Jayden M, James W, Joel P, Sonny E, Tomas Clarke, Hayden A, Kyra T, Halle C, Sienna A, Kaydance W, Brooke H, Felicity S, Olethia C, Lakesha G, Quedesha G, Bibiannah P, Aaron M, Lachlan G, Cassandra D, Liam D, Lachlan H, Joshua S, Brayden B, Ivy G, Dylan G, Jared B, Tylah R, Niquita H, Kurtis W, Georgia B and Rahni D. Zone will be held at Tuncurry Oval on Friday, August 5.
