From movie screenings, wooden toy workshops and kid’s bingo to craft activities and games, there’s something to suit all interests and everyone will be welcomed by the friendly library staff these school holidays, from Monday July 4 to Friday July 15.
MidCoast Council’s Library Events Coordinator (Taree office), Danielle Old, is looking forward to welcoming back the regulars and hopes that some newcomers join in the fun. “We have been running the school holiday program for over seven years now and it’s been so great to see that every year it’s become more and more popular,” said Danielle.
In an exciting addition to the program, the library team have partnered with Taree Central to host a Pop Up Library in the centre on Wednesday July 6 and Thursday July 7.
“We encourage locals to pop by, join the library and borrow from the sample collection of books, magazines, DVDs and CDs that we'll have on the day. We'll also be running a special story time session on both days at 10am and 2pm,” said Danielle.
For those who haven’t visited the library lately, the Pop Up Library is a great opportunity to learn about the free resources available all year round.
Most of the activities are free to attend, so be sure to jump onto the library website and book so you don’t miss out. To view the full program and reserve your spot, visit www.manningvalleylibraries.com.au.
