Morris was injured when he went into tackle a player just before halftime of the match against Forster-Tuncurry at Tuncurry on Sunday. He collapsed as he was being taken from the field. The game was held up for more than half an hour while Morris was assisted by Taree City’s training staff before an ambulance arrived. A decision was then made to take him to Royal North Shore when Morris complained of soreness in his neck.
“His mother contacted me and said Dan is up and walking around,’’ Taree City president Mal Dixon said today.
“It’s a good result. He’s hoping to be released from hospital either today or tomorrow.’’
